Parish Volunteer Opportunities

Some of these activities may require that you complete the parish's Safe Environment Training and have a background check.  This training is generally offered each month on the last Wednesday of the month. If you have questions about this, or to sign up for training, contact Tracy Russo at ext. 120, or at 721-1137.

Information about volunteering to help the poor.

Information about liturgical ministries needing volunteers is in the Liturgical Ministries.

To volunteer with our Religious Education program, contact the RE Director at 722-0051, or at 722-2110 ext 115.

To help with clerical tasks, such as mailings, answering phone, filing, etc., contact Mel Luetkemeyer in the church office at extension 110.

Parish Work Days occur eight or nine times a year, on a Saturday morning. Generally there is both indoor and outdoor work available. They are announced in the parish bulletin. “Just show up!”

Parish Blood Drives are announced in the bulletin and a sign up sheet is posted on the Marble Table a week or so in advance. While we always prefer that people sign up in advance, you can “just show up” on the morning of the drive,

Our Nursery Child Care workers are employees of the Parish.  If you are interested in helping with this, contact Jennifer Cunningham at 823-9189.

The parish delivers “Mobile Meals” to people who are home bound.  To volunteer for this service, contact Mel at ext. 110.

To volunteer as a parish musician, contact Bob Waldrop at ext 115.

To help with the Bereavement Ministry by either setting up and cleaning up bereavement dinners, or providing food (casseroles, salads, and desserts), contact Barbara Bauer at 728-3603.
