Parish Council

The Parish Council is an elected Board in which all parishioners are eligible to participate. Meetings are the 4th Thursday of each month (except for June, July, & December) at 7:00 pm

The Parish Council consists of:
  1. A representative from each of the Boards of the Church (Finance, Community Service, Liturgy, Property, Youth, Hospitality), plus the Classics, and the Mens' and Women's Club,
  2. Four (4) members elected by the parishioners,
  3. One or more members appointed by the Pastor,
  4. The priests and a representative of the deacons,
  5. Certain pastoral staff are ex officio (non-voting) members (Director of Religious Education, RCIA Director, Music Director)

Parish Elections are held in the Spring, with elected terms being three (3) years

The purpose of the Parish Council is to be the primary consultative body to the Pastor on Parish matters. Each Parish Council meeting is open to the parishioners

Members of the Parish Council also are the primary organizers of the annual Feast of the Epiphany dinner, and they also prepare one of the Friday meals during Lent, serving a vegetarian spaghetti sauce with pasta, salad, and garlic bread.
