  • Betty Jo Donahue, Financial Records

    Betty Jo’s primary responsibilities are to maintain all Financial Records. This includes accounts payable, payroll, bank statements and reconciliation of our general offerings, memorials, special collections, credit card donations, ACH banking transactions and any other money contributed to the church.  She also prepares the financial report for the bulletin and yearend statements for parishioners. Betty Jo handles registration of new parishioners, the parish directory, and all updates of addresses and phone numbers on the Parish Database.  She is also the contact person for families that send their children to Catholic Schools, financial records for Children’s Day Out and the parish liaison for Mobile Meals.

    Betty Jo has been a member of Epiphany of the Lord since 1982 and has had the pleasure of working for the church for 30 years.

  • Mel Luetkemeyer, Parish Secretary

    I became part of the Epiphany Staff as the originator and first Director of Epiphany Children’s Day Out (CDO) from 1981 to 2011 (30 years). While CDO Director, I became the part-time secretary for Religious Education until I accepted the parish secretary position when Fr. Michalicka was Pastor.

    As parish secretary, my main goal is to support the Pastor, Staff and Parishioners. As secretary I hope to be one of the first welcoming representatives of Epiphany Church. As parish secretary, my general duties are to type correspondence, screen and field phone calls, file, sort and distribute mail, order office supplies and order staff name tags and office name plates. I schedule Mass Intentions and prepare and create a monthly calendar.

    Each month, I type and e-mail the Priest & Deacon Mass Schedule Assignments and I enlist, train, and assign volunteers to answer the office phones.

    Each week, I prepare the Prayers and Announcements for Mass and am responsible for maintaining the Parish Sacramental Records, Memorial Donation Records, church key assignments, and stocking publication tables. I am the contact person for our parish phone system, copy machines, and security system.

    One of the benefits of my job is that I have the opportunity to meet with the parishioners and general public and offer assistance as needed.

    I have worked at Epiphany when Fr. Bryce, Fr. Michalicka, Fr. Stieferman and Fr. Bird were our Pastors.

  • Michaele Sorise, Bulletin, Facilities, Schedule

    I have worked at Epiphany since 1989 (9 years as a teacher in Children’s Day Out, then 17 years in this position)

    My job is different every day depending on what is happening at Epiphany.

    I schedule the building for each of the events that happen at Epiphany.  I prepare the bulletin every week so it can be printed for parishioners to pick up on the weekends. I coordinate the preparation and printing of the minister schedule for the ministers of the Altar (communion ministers, lectors, altar servers, ushers) every six weeks.

    I also order supplies for the kitchen, coordinate weddings and events, take care of all the indoor green plants and flowers throughout the church, and other duties as assigned by the Pastor to make sure Epiphany parish runs smooth.

  • Bernadette Tilton, Children's Day Out Director

    I have been a member of Epiphany since 2000. I have been involved with Children’s Day Out for nine years as a parent, teacher and now as the director. My husband and I have six children. The oldest four attend Holy Trinity Catholic School in Okarche and the youngest two are currently here at CDO.

    If there’s one thing I’ve learned about myself during my years here at CDO, it’s that I have a passion for children - teaching them, inspiring them and giving them a safe and loving Christian place to play, learn and grow.   • Mandy Brown, Director of Religious Education

    As Director of Religious Education, I primarily oversee the religious education of children between Pre-K through 12th Grade including Sacramental Preparation for Reconciliation, Communion and Confirmation. In addition there are several other Religious Education ministries and programs of the Parish including Vacation Bible School and Parent Catechesis. I work closely in collaboration with the Facilitator of Safe Environment, the Youth Minister, Pastoral Associates and Office Staff Members.

    My favorite part of the job is helping members of the Parish, young and old, to strengthen their personal relationship with Christ, their understanding of Church doctrines and teachings and help them share the Catholic Faith with others.

  • Tracy Osterman, Youth Minister

    I am the parish Youth Director. I have been involved in youth ministry at Epiphany since September, 1994 and on staff since April, 2002.

    The best thing about my job is the youth I get to work with. Seeing them grow in their relationship with God and then watch as they walk with Christ into their adult lives is an awesome way to be able to live. I don't think I have a job at all. I think I have been blessed with being able to share my faith in an incredible way with an awesome part of our parish community.

  • Gerald Duke, Facility Manager

    Gerald Duke is the Facility Manager for Epiphany Parish. He ensures that our special events go well. He is on site for weddings, receptions, parties, and other events outside of our regular schedule. He is generally the person who locks up in the evenings and unlocks on Saturdays and holidays when there isn't a morning Mass. He has been a member at Epiphany since 1982. He has been on staff since 1996.

    He taught kindergarden and First Communion classes for 15 years. He has taught the Children's Journey of Faith since 2008. He has been the chef at the Archdiocesan Pastoral Center for 21 years, and is considered by many to be the “Unofficial Executive Chef” of Epiphany Parish.

  • Annette Ruckel, Parish Sacristan

    I am the parish Sacristan and have served as such for 2 years. I am the first person to be employed for this position at Epiphany.

    I generally work only on the weekend; Saturdays and Sundays, setting up for Mass, filling in wherever needed, ordering items like host,wine, and candles, cutting small host to fit the Monstrance. I wrap gifts for baptism, and set up for each baptism, fill the Holy Water bottles, and remove the wax from the glass and brass.  On Sunday I open doors for donut delivery. I change altar cloths in church and chapel, ensure the appropriuate vestments according to church season of the year are on hand, and work with the altar servers.

    What do you like most about your job? The job itself! God has blessed me in many ways.

  • Bob Waldrop, Director of Music & Church Organist

     On Staff since 1999!

    I select all of the music for the Sunday and Holy Day Masses (except for those done by the Contemporary Choir). In cooperation with my assistant, I rehearse the Three Kings Choir which sings at the 10 AM Mass. I recruit and work with cantors. This year we adding a young people's choir to our music ministry. I provide music for all of the funerals and weddings at the parish. I am a member of the Liturgy Board and the Parish Council.

    Besides these music duties, I am on the leadership team of the parish Evangelization Ministry, the chair of the 40th Anniversary of the Parish Committee, and on the Website Renovation Team which is producing this new website for the parish. I prepare vegetable soup and hot rolls for the Liturgy Board Lenten Dinner, and vegetarian spaghetti for the Parish Council Lenten Dinner. As with all the other staff members, I carry out other duties as assigned by the Pastor to ensure that the parish serves the needs of our community

    I like everything about my job but perhaps the best part is the actual presentation of the music at Mass every week. Whether at the piano, the organ, or singing, there is a deep and meaningful experience of music when it is at the service of our Risen Lord present in the Eucharistic Banquet.

  • Bryan Warren, Director of Contemporary Choir

    I was born and raised in Oklahoma City, and have been a member of Epiphany parish since 1980. I am married, have a son and two daughters and a one year old grandson. I went through the religious education program at Epiphany and was a member of the Youth Group. It has been great for me to see my children go through these same programs and become involved in the life of the parish.

    I started my life as a musician with piano lessons when I was about 8 years old. While in grade school I took piano lessons several years, and a similar amount of lessons on the Cello. I am self-taught on the guitar and many other instruments. I have always been grateful for those few years of lessons where I learned to read music. For the last several years I have gone to the summer guitar school offered by the National Pastoral Musicians Organization with several other members of the contemporary choir. We have enjoyed these opportunities for personal growth, and feel that we bring a lot back to the whole group.

    As director of the contemporary choir my hope is that we continue to grow as a group both musically and spiritually as contributors to the beauty of the liturgy. I also hope that perhaps other instruments might be introduced into the group to enhance that growth.

  • Jenny Fenner, Pastoral Associate

    Pastoral Associate for 2 years...

    I minister to families who have lost a loved one and help them plan the Vigil/Funeral. I assist Priest and Deacon with funeral liturgy, help choose and train Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion for Sunday liturgies and to the sick and homebound, oversee Communion Ministry to the homebound and those in nursing homes, rehab centers and hospice settings, conduct classes on Baptism, conduct monthly Grief Support Group, oversee Faith Community Nurses and their outreach ministries, and help conduct Blood Drives.

    What I like most about my job: Working with our Faith Community Nurses who are so full of energy and great ideas enough to keep me here full time when I am only a part time employee! Their love for their ministry to this parish is contagious and I have certainly "caught" so much of my own enthusiasm for my job from them.

    I think my previous job with the Contact Crisis Helpline really helped to prepare me for this job. I was director of volunteers and training there and that seems to have tied in quite nicely with what I am doing. Also, my training as a Spiritual Director by the Sisters of Benedict has given me the means to listen to those people whose grief is overwhelming and whose brokenness cries out only for that “ear of the heart.”

    I came to Epiphany July 1, 2008. I received a Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry from Aquinas Institute of Theology, St. Louis, MO and a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministry from Newman University, Wichita, KS. I have Archdiocesan Accreditation in Spiritual Direction and have Advanced Catechist certification.

    I have served on the parish staffs of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Oklahoma City, and St. Thomas More University Parish, Norman. Also, I was Assistant Director of Parish Outreach and Program Development at Catholic Charities prior to coming to Epiphany.

    As a Pastoral Associate, I serve at the pleasure of the Pastor. I have assigned areas of ministry, but at the same time I am available for special projects or needs that are unpredictable. Adults – formation and education – are the main focus of my ministry. This includes the Journey of Faith (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults), Catholics Returning Home, Divorced Catholics, Epiphany Marrieds Group and working with adult educational opportunities. A new area of responsibility is being part of the New Evangelization Coordination Team at Epiphany which also includes oversight of the Epiphany web page. I am also a member of the Epiphany 40th Anniversary Planning Committee. In addition, I am a spiritual director and direct retreats in Oklahoma and surrounding states.

    Undoubtedly the aspect of my job/ministry at Epiphany that I enjoy the most is the relationships I have formed with the people of the parish. Since arriving at Epiphany in 2008, I have been welcomed by the parishioners in a way that made me feel right at home from the very beginning. Their openness and kindness made me feel that I had always been a part of the life of the parish. Epiphany’s parishioners are generous and respond wholeheartedly to any need that is presented to them. They are a powerful witness to me of the love and mercy of God.

  • Kate Micaletti, Education Secretary

    As Education Secretary, I assist the Religious Education Director with phone, sacramental records, data entry, filing, mailing, religious education registration, and all other clerical duties. I must also be present for Wednesday and Sunday RE classes.

    My favorite part of the job:
    Interacting with children and their families.

    Job Experience:
    33 years as a parish secretary at various parishes in the Archdiocese, three years as a rectory housekeeper, and two years at Epiphany of the Lord.
